USB-RS232 cable

Hello everyone
I would like to ask for solution about my problems. I had a problem using Labview 8. When using my lappy, I cannot get the com ports as I'm using the USB-RS232 cable. There's only one port that's "COM 1" which is the default that appeared in the labview front panel.However,·it should appear·"COM 5" also instead of the default com port. I already change the settings at device manager in my lappy but still cannot works. Maybe I'm using the Labview 8 student edition (evaluation) software·that cause this problems as the Labview 8 i'm using cannot detect the com port or maybe because of other problems.
I need all of your help to solve my problems.
