I came across this "Lambda Regulated Power Supply" P/N G12705 at Gold Mine Electronics (www.goldmine-elec-products.com). All you need is a case of some type and you have a very robust bench supply. Output is exceptionally clean and solid as a rock. The are $12.95 and occasionally go on sale (I picked them up for $7.95 ea!).
