Hi All,

Here's my quick remake of a classic ZX81 game, 3D Monster Maze.

Just Maze generation to go now, but I thought I'd give you all a looksy at it's progress.

Let me know what you think.

Baggers.

Awesome game... Extremely retro, I love it...

After a few games my high score is still only 215...
For some reason my pad is a little bit flaky and in stead of going forward it turns into the wall now and then...

Living on the planet Earth might be expensive but it includes a free trip around the sun every year...

Experience level:
[ ] Let's connect the motor to pin 1, it's a 6V motor so it should be fine.
[ ] OK, I got my resistors hooked up with the LEDs.
[X] I got the Motor hooked up with the H-bridge and the 555 is supplying the PWM.
[ ] Now, if I can only program the BOE-BOT to interface with he Flux Capacitor.
[ ] I dream in SX28 assembler...

Thanks Baggers.

The ZX-81 was my first computer. Although I didn't have 3D-Monster Maze this stirs some good memories . smile.gif

Coley,

lol I'll try, but I can't be held responsible if I do another one quickly.

Clemens,

Yeah, same for me, I guess that's why I do all these remakes :)

Yeah, and may I once more bring back to memory "Spacies". Haha, I know you consider it unfinished but I still have it in the eprom of my demoboard·clone. ;-)
Not only is it good for testing if mouse, TV and sound are present but it's got a nice look and sound. I always prefer mouse control over joystick or keyboard.

And I never get past the first level! -So I never get tempted to play long. lol.gif

See - sometimes the unfinished works of art are the real masterpieces...

I have added Jetpac and Frogger, wrt Spacies the guideline I use for adding a game to the list is when it is in a playable state, it's hard to determine by the thread if Spacies is at that point, if it is then I will add it to the list as well.

I just tried this game out.
This is really good gameplay for when it came out!
The animation isn't bad either for ASCII blocks. :)
