Google maps and CNC yields....a fruit bowl?!

Came upon this website that uses Google maps' topography to CNC shape a fruit bowl of a selected geography.

I'm kinda leaning towards a CNC'd chair of the Horseshoe Falls in Niagara FAlls.

    thats pretty cool and with plywoods layers being so uniform the contours would be true to form, who knows what the interval is but it would be easy to figure out.

    I hate to keep going on about sketchup but if you had contours of any area you could produce a cad file of the 3d terrain pretty easily. and then go from cad to gerber.
    then all you need is a CNC and you could make your own.

    the area would have to be small though autocad won't handle more than 50K points very well.
