Before deciding I was going to use a LCD instead of LED display I was looking for a driver and ended up at Maxim. By mistake I asked for a sample of the 6955 driver. So I filled out the forms and waited for someone to approve it. In due time I was contacted and it was approved. Hooray. Except I made an error and selected the ATL version instead of the APL version. I immediately contacted the Maxim rep and let her know of my error. Thank you's were given and I was told that the order would be corrected.

But that wasn't the case. I ended up with both samples. Anyhow, if anyone can actually use this chip (I can't hardly see it much less use it) I will happily toss it in the mail for you. It is a labeled sample so it can't (really) be used for anything other than testing but the 1K price is about $8 a chip and Digi-Key has it listed for $12.60ea for 50. I hate to just let it go to waste if someone here can actually use it for something. Waste not Want not...

Anyhow, if you really will use it and you ask nicely I'll send it out next Friday. If your postings here have helped me you'll get more weight. Otherwise, I'll just flip a coin and ask you via PM for your address. [noparse]:)[/noparse]
