Hi there

I need an lcd module at least 2.5" but for less than $60 AUD.
That can display graphics.
Does anyone know of one or am I dreaming.

Thank you smile.gif

    Hello,

You don’t specify what type of display…For example, does it need to be color? Is it something you need to draw on to display or should it just display a composite video signal, such as the unit linked below?

Color Composite would be nice, However I would be happy with color serial.
I need it to display lots of information in a clear manner.
Yet it needs to be fairly cheep, as I am already spending a fair amount on other parts of the project.

    Hello,

A composite screen implies you already have a video source…a serial screen implies you do not. Without knowing what you need/have there’s little advice that can be offered.

This is for a project using the propeller.
Am not sure how I am going to display the data yet, was going to base that around the displays capabilities.
Composite would be nice however if it is going to be to expensive than serial will have to do.

    Anthony,
I have some 1.8" color LCDs (557x234) that are inexpensive, but I don't have a driver for the propeller.
If you want to have a go at writing the driver I can send you one with an adapter to plug it into a breadboard.
How many do you need ?

    Bean.

    Bean,
A picture and datasheet would be nice if you can get them.
    How inexpensive is inexpensive?

Here is the link to the thread about it http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=694915

I'll send you one for free if you give a good effect at getting it to work.

I'll send you a PM about prices.

    Bean.
