I can't find de Silva's MPE_TEXT_013.SPIN program. Does anyone know where it is?

Leon

    Sorry, I posted some versions... it's just not ready..
    But here is test version: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=699285 called 021 in the meantime...

    Edit:
    It has a self contained demo, but you normally use it like TV_TEXT
    INIT has some more parameters

    INIT(pin, requested chars per line, interlaced)

    interlaced should be FALSE
    chars per line: good values are 21 (or 34 with 16:9 displays) (27 and 40 for the PAL version)

    Thanks.

    I can't get any output on my hardware, although the other video applications like TV_text_demo.spin work OK.

    Here are my settings:

    'parameters for standard
    _clkmode = xtal2 + pll16x
    _xinfreq = 5_000_000
    videoPin = 12

    My video outputs are on P12, P13 and P14. Do I have to change anything else?

    Yes, that was the problem. It works with xtal1. I should have noticed it. 8-(

    It makes the display *much* more readable on the little LCD monitor that I'd like to use for debugging.

    You can reduce the memory allocation a little bit by reducing MAXCOLS and MAXROWS according to your needs
