This is a new product announcement.
We have designed an alternative to the Parallax PBasic IDE. This new IDE (called “idea”[noparse];)[/noparse] does everything the Parallax IDE can plus contains many additional features to make more complex projects easier to manage & compile. It was originally an in-house development tool that was re-written for external use.

We are looking for a few additional people to perform final beta testing on the product on Windows XP and Windows Vista. Please note that the product does *not* run under Linux or natively under the Mac OS. If you are interested in testing the product and providing feedback, please email your contact information directly to

I just wish it had a cross-reference for variable names and constants. That would be a real boon, although #INCLUDE is indeed helpful.
