Hi Fellow Proppers .

Now this email is really aimed at the Australian Proppers.

The huge ALDI supermarket chain are selling a 19 inch (48cm) LCD TV display.
It has RCA composite video input on it and sells for $89.00
This is a real slimline LCD· ( not a conventional CRT monitor)
So fits on your desk really neatly...

Here in Melbourne at the store close to where we live they had 22 pcs or so left.
They told me that there are lots of them at other stores as well.

So do yourself a favour people.. grab one..( maybe you get some steak knives as well..(local joke))
By far the best value I have seen...

Just for your reference ( overseas viewers) $89.00 AU dollars is about $78 or so US dollars.
A fellow·Propper enthusiast in the USA emailed me and advised me that ALDI also have lots of stores
there as well ..·so check it out.

Cheers·· Ron Nollet Melbourne Australia

    Hi Ron.

I've a LCD 19" 4:3 KTC.... it works great with "tv.spin" and "TV_text.spin" parallax drivers ...but for some reason, it wont work with the games published in the forum.
I'd never tested it with the parallax graphics driver...
But taking care of the price...also could be a good choice.
    Thanks for the info.

    Ron,

Must just be a Melbourne thing as I checked out the local Aldi round the corner and their is no such special here in Brisbane. Your good fortune then.

    Ron,

A physical 4:3 format is like a normal (legacy these days) TV or common CRT PC monitor, ratio is width:height = 4:3

16:9 supports high-definition ratio, the physical size of the screen will be wider than a regular "old" TV display.

    Regards,

That's what we need in the U.S. guys. A cheap something to debug with. Gonna let those guys down under show us up?
