R/C help

Hi, I am building a robot for a robotics competetion. I am using two stamps for different functions, and already have one of the wireless control down(IR....in all its issues). However, I desperately need help with finding the products needed for the R/C control I hope to do for the other stamp. I am sorry if this is something already asked, but I would really apperciate some information on what I need to get. I·need both the products to get·R/C controlled for a stamp as well as possibly a sample programing (know how but have not seen a complete·example). Thank you I really apperciate this.

What kind of R/C control do you need? Simple forward/reverse/turning? Or sending it data (bytes)? What kind of range? Which stamp is this for?

A simple solution for basic control could involve "hacking" apart a toy RC car and reading the simple 1/0 signals with the stamp. If you search the "completed projects" forum, there's a few examples of making the boe-bot RC using hacked toys.

A more advanced solution would be bluetooth or regular RF (Parallax has these, see the site), which would require either connecting the controller end to another stamp or computer for sending the commands.
