Piezo Film Vibra Tab Mass VS Flexiforce sensor

Hi there,

In the past I used the Flexiforce sensor and found that the results I was getting wern't very accurate, the reading were different everytime I applied the same force.

Is the Piezo Film Vibra Tab Mass sensor any better?

Any help on the piezo film vibra tab mass would be much appreciated.

Hi faisal,

I had the same problems with the flexiforce sensor as you. I think it's a good sensor to use to detect pressures, but not necessarily measure them.
I believe part of the problem had to do with consistantly "preloading" the flexi each time. If you didn't do this right, then you're reading wouldn't match your last measurement.

I don't think the PIezo has the same problem...haven't used it though, but you do have more control with the add-on circuit they describe.
