Those tiny color LCDs that you can find in cellphones these days, they use some sort of serial video data im i right? is it plain LVDS? anyone who·have had·some experience with these?

it would be neat if someone has a program for this sort of·interface(or similar), i believe its best that i ask before i write my own.

thanks!

the last link could provide code examples for everything but the propp, but if you look at the example for the basic stamp, it doesent look so hard...

but if Sapieha·had a code in progress i guess its worth the wait...

it would be really nice to use some of my nokia displays i have lying around, and to use them in debugging purpose...

is there anyone who had looked into these LVDS screens you pull out of laptops, and how hard it might be to write a driver for it?

would be sweet to have too...

This was discussed a few weeks ago: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=693925

Basically, the complexity lies in the high data rate requirements and the fact that external LVDS driver ICs are required. It would probably end up costing more than just buying a 15" vga lcd monitor.

If you are still curious about Propeller + LVDS then go to search.parallax.com/ and search for lvds -ord=d f=25. The Parallax Google search appliance does a better job searching the forums than the built in search function.

Harrison: your probably right, i can buy an 15" vga monitor for about 90 dollars here in sweden with my company account...

it would be·cool to have a driver just to put some use to all the junk·you have lying around, but it seems that the LVDS interface would take much elbow grease to put together indeed...bummer thought...
