As I understood it, the P2 Will have a built in LFSR random generator. Is that right?
Which bits are tapped? How long is the cycle?
I would like to run it trough the Dieharder and Testu01 randomness suites to see how well it performs.
IMHO, it must be good enough to be "indistinguishable" (according to these tests) from a TRNG for it to be usable for anything other than fun and games. (a pure LFSR never succeeds these tests, there needs to be a little bit more logic than that)
Even better would be if it the internal states of the PRNG never propagates outside the HW in combination with some way of seeding. Just wishful thinking because I know that a CSPRNG is a complex matter. ☺
