Precision Freq. Counter

This is sort of a repost. I've been trying to readout frequency on the low end with a couple of decimal places such as 120.13 hertz or 1134.22 hertz just as examples. The highest frequency should be around 2500-3000 hz. I can read 1 hertz, 2 hertz, 300 hertz, etc. no problem. I know I will require a fast clock to slice all these decimal frequencies within a 1-2 second sample rate.

You need a Reciprocal Frequency Counter, and google finds this topic

Two decimal digits to 3KHz will .need only > ~ 500Khz Clk.
With a 80Mhz clock, you should resolve to  ~ 40pHz at 3KHz

I found this link works - so if you use google to find the old link, it seems you can derive a new one... using just the number portion.

Thanks but when I open spin files in this new format it's all garbled together. I was wondering if everyone is having the same issue

You have to download it (save as) and rename it, then open in the IDE.
