Good cell phone to interface?

I'm trying to find a good cell phone to interface with a bs2. I'm open to any reasonably priced model, but I'd like it to be compatible with a prepaid sim card. Any suggestions?

    Early model Nokia e.g 6100 series. A quick google search will locate plenty of other similar projects.

    Are there any more recent models? My concern with other models is finding one with decent battery life and performance.
