I'm always on the lookout for new ways to package my projects.

Found this one at IKEA.

It's a plastic outdoors accent light. 7 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall.

It has a 1.2v NiCad, and recharging circuit.

All for $7.99

Neat find for an enclosure. Of the original product, though, the solar cells are INSIDE, so the sunlight has to go through the white dome to get to the cells?

    So much for solar efficiency!

erco, but the light is also above the solar cells so when it's on there is charging going on so it should last ALL NIGHT...;)

    I got some GlowMate Jr's at kids-dot-woot-dot-com.
The already have three LEDs and a cycling routine, but I have
    them doing better, neater things.
I've seen them twice, keep your eyes peeled.

I've always wanted to do a sky monitor using the TCS230/3200 color sensor to sense sky color and brightness. This may be the ideal enclosure for what I had in mind.
