    Back in the 1960s, when I was a student apprentice at English-Electric-LEO computers, Kidsgrove, they had a mainframe computer in the lab controlling a model train layout. They were hoping to get British Rail to buy the system for controlling a goods yard. If someone removed one of the trucks from a train the system printed out on the Teletype: "Someone has pinched a truck!"

    I wonder if the have a behind the scenes tour? I'd love to see all the R.I/O cabinets and the electronic hardware running this thing.

    OMG! that's just wonderful :-)

    I love miniatures.... I used to have a huge collection
    of miniatures inside very cute doll houses. This makes
    me think back to all of that.
