4 types to pick from: http://www.woot.com/ all have Win7 starter, some have 3-cell batteries, others have 6.

I love my Acer Aspire One (Win XP), which is pretty similar to the Acer listed here.

    That looks a good deal. The blog entry is interesting - "Clinically Depressed Freddy's"? - I hope he stays around long enough for warranty claims. Uh, I just noticed a big sign "Sold Out".

    These netbooks are nifty computers though. Do they have solid state drives? If so, I wonder how they handle Windows constantly reading and writing to the cache?

    Dr_Acula I feel the same way with MLC SSDs in a Windows envroment ..

    BTW I had a First Gen acer 1book . it lasted me 24H before the screen cracked from floopy bezel . so much for a go anywhere little computer for in the backpack use . so I bought a 12'Toughbook. never looked back ..

    Seems I am too late for Woot (again), but I recently got my Toshiba NB-250 locally for $300USD with W-7 starter. I managed to wear out my EEEpc 701 by three years of steady use, so it was time to move on.
