Where are the PMs and ThreadSubscriptions????

Beside my valuable PMs I was used to subscribe to interesting (knowledgeable) threads. You know when you need something and you think " I have read this somewhere": this is the time to look into subscriptions and recover the thread

Any chance to have the subscriptions back?

PS.: The search function is much better

Looking at some of my posts: the code formatting is lost. Also others quoting rectangles seems corrupted ...

If you look at the "UserCP" pages there is an option to control thread subscription. I tlike the new option to "auto subscrive" to threads that I post on.

I think that dMajo's point is that if a user HAD BEEN subscribed to a thread, that info is lost. I for one do not want to miss posts on threads that I've been following for some time, and I'm not sure I have the time (or desire) to track down all the threads (incl. ones started by me) that I was subscribed to.

You can also subscribe to new threads through the "Thread Tools" drop-down menu at the top of the first post in a thread.

    That makes sense.

BTW the colors in my previous post were just playing with the formating options and not intended to cary any special meaning :)

    thx

Yes, I was meaning the old forum subscriptions.

It is impossible to subscribe to them again without knowing the title or the argument. I just know that any subscription was very interesting (from a technical point of view)

@PhiPi & Parallax: please recover the subscriptions from the old forum sw/db

Jessica, thanks for point this out. Right now it appears that the forum is set so that anytime I post I am automatically subscribed to the thread. BTW, I like this feature a lot.

What I was referring to is that I would like to show up in the morning and press the "New Post" button on the ribbon near the top to read new posts. This is not currently effective because it has all unread posts for all forums in it. I only monitor or read posts from about 5 forums so unless I can filter the results for the forums that I am interested in, it lists more stuff that I don't want to read than I do want to read.

this is not a complain. I am OK with not using this feature but I wanted to call it out so if there was a way to make it more functional then it could get on "The List".

Unfortunately, the member subscriptions from the old forums site were not migrated to the new site and it is unlikely that we will be able to move them now. The thread and forum subscriptions are still available on the old site if you need to reference them. They are listed under the user control panel.
