mystery VU meter

Found this little guy yesterday and can't seem to find any specs.
Part #'s are PIC-1094 HB and LI 2101
Should be easy to interface as it has 4 marked pins on the end as follows:
RIN
GND
VCC
LIN

Any ideas?

    I would guess that "RIn" and "LIn" are the left and right voltage inputs.

    I would try applying some voltage to Vcc and Gnd, then apply a small voltage to RIn and LIn and see what happens.

    Those are cool. Are more available ? How much are they ?

    There are two chips on the underside of the meter, both are # BA 6124

    ...ummm...hmmm...looking more closely at the picture, it would seem each side has 30 bars? If that's true, then the chips are definitely not the 3916 as they only have 10 outputs.

    The Rohm BA 6124 is a 5 channel LED driver (VU scale). Maybe they are chained together to give 10 units of resolution and the segments are connected in groups of three?
