Is it possible that attachments can be added to private messages? IMHO, that would be a very useful feature.

    I think it's possible to just link them in a PM. Look under "User CP", misc, attachments.

    A list of all the ones you've done will be shown. Just right click, copy link location, then paste into the PM text.

    If you could poke around like potatohead suggested and see if that works, great.

    If it's not a viable option we will take a look at the Admin settings and enable this feature.
