I got to see a demo of one these blenders at the local costco today. I couldn't believe it
when he said they blended an iPad.

I've got a Dell Streak, it's smaller than an iPad and has the advantage that it will blend much more easily. Someone has tried to break the Corning Gorilla Glass screen, without success:

    www.engadget.com/2010/05/29/dell-streaks-gorilla-glass-screen-torture-tested-for-your-amus/

It does break if it is dropped onto concrete! Mine was replaced because of a speck of dust on the underside of the camera lens, and the asst. manager in the O2 shop dropped it when he took it into the shop's inner sanctum to check it. I wanted to see the damage, and he showed it to me, it looked a bit like the iPad during the blending process. He told me he'd done the same thing to an iPhone a couple of weeks before. iPhones are even easier to blend than the Streak, of course. It should be possible to process two at once.

I love it! How entertaining. I went to the website and viewed all sorts of things being blended. The corny approach and great theme music make for awesome marketing. I have a classic Oster with a glass container but if I were need of a blender, I certainly would consider such a powerfully overbuilt machine. My understanding is that the restaurant and bar community love these. I will recommend blendtec blenders to all my friends and co-workers (or at least the website). Also, there were great things to blend (food) on the website).· Toxic waste? Bah!

Most entertaining, but as Peter said previously, the geek within was crying from the unnecessary destruction of the device.
