  Do you know what kind of screws those are? Self-tapping? Sheet metal?
  
  McMaster might have screws that have a black finish, but I can't vouch from personal experience, though.

  I agree: black oxide finished screws, either Phillips pan-head or Allen (hex key) button-head will add immeasurably to the appearance of your project. McMaster-Carr should have what you want.

  They are just machine screws but I see they also have PCB mount terminal blocks so I'll contact them tomorrow. A bonus is this company is in NJ. I'm in NY. Thanks.

  I buy almost all of my small screws from www.microfasteners.com (including black oxide coated screws). They are also in NJ and ship quickly. I've been buying from them for many years.

  I also use Microfasteners for the small stuff (< #4), even though it has to ship to me cross-country.

  Try Fastenal, they are everywhere and have a good supply of black fasteners.

  In a pinch break out the black Sharpie and color the heads.
  Sleazzy but it works!
  I have lots of vendor cabinets that are painted black, and when we get small scratches then it is Sharpie to the rescue!

  Black nail polish might also be a quick solution. (Just tell the clerk it's a graduation gift for your goth niece. )

  I·seriously thought about enamel but I ordered the screws and terminal blocks today from mcmaster. One day delivery. I've been buying timing belts from 'Belt Corporation of America' which is in GA·which I will now be able to get from mcmasters. I get supplies from six companies plus what I can find at RadioShack. 'Fastenal' and 'Microfasteners' will solve major problems for me. This forum is priceless.··
