  I want to send someone the assembly listing but the CNTRL-L listing can't be copied.

  if you pull up the Ctrl-L list file, then highlight what you want with the mouse, and right click, you will see "copy" in the menu. Ctrl-C for copy doesn't work. you can also right click anywhere in the list file, and you will be able to "select all" if you are so inclined.
