    Great bargain!

I wonder if it will work with the new USB host code for the prop?

You and me erco, we are always scouring ebay for a bargain wink.gif

I buy so much ebay stuff that there is rarely a day here where there is
no delivery. I send the stuff to work, everyone is always curious about
what new goodies are in the little envelopes from China. On really good
stuff I buy extra so I can spread the goodies around.

Holly: I agree, I get lots of mostly XLNT stuff from China; I've never been stiffed by a China or HK seller. Very reliable. These particular BT dongles are from a US seller, all the more amazing. Another recent surprise from a US seller is this li-ion camera battery: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220587605810 which works just about as well as my original camera battery for a fraction of the cost. My buddy bought similar batteries from China which barely worked for a few minutes.

Those batteries might be good for a small robot, too. Ideally, a Bluetooth-controlled robot...

I used some spare li-on batteries from my Cannon camera in a project.

I used conductive glue to make connections to it...otherwise it's hard
    to connect to these batteries.

You guys should start an RSS or twitter feed - Holly & Erco's tech deal of the day!...

Thanks for the headsup. I ordered 3 of those but they would only ship to US. Thats ok as I have a mailbox.

Then on the bottom of the page I found these from another seller - $1.09 with free shipping, and to other countries too. So I ordered some more.

This appears to be the same one from DealExtreme: www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11866. They probably just bought it in bulk from DealExtreme, which has pretty nice quantity discounts.

    I missed out.

Only ships to the 48 states :-(

Oh well, I have so much flotsam here now I can hardly
    stack up the boxes.
(I even have a box with a gas mask in it, they have been passing them out and advertising on TV about them...spooky)

Thanks Harrison (and erco).. the dealextreme ships free to Canada... how do they come out ahead doing that on something that costs 2 bucks... I felt so sorry for them I blew a bunch of money on other stuff too : -)

Update -> Man I gotta read first, panic second.. I missed Tubular's addn.. ahh I need a couple more 1.09 and free shipping.. that has almost crossed that line of "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is".. ahh 2 bucks and I use a Vanilla CC for online ordering·so I can't get hurt too badly.. what to heck

Here's how they can afford to sell and ship it so cheap $0.88 postage.
Note the thick well written manual and abundant driver disks... lol.gif

    edit--

Not necessarily a bad thing, mind you. It installed easily, Vista saw four "devices" and installed default drivers.

Shawn: I have Vista and the Bluetooth drivers installed automatically.

Of course, it destroyed my hard drive shortly thereafter. Nonetheless, the dongle did SOMETHING.

    LOL!
Erco- Yah, my laptop tried to install drivers, but it is reporting an error starting the drivers. Hmmm, I looked a little online, perhaps its time for a lenghty investigation.

On another note, did you or anyone else connect their phone to their laptop. My primary goal is to download the pictures off my phone without buying a proprietary cable.

I did connect my phone to my laptop via bluetooth. It worked, but my prepaid carrier doesn't allow any direct data transfer. They want to charge for edge "minutes".
