A while ago an editor from Gee magazine emailed me for a hi-res image of the SIDStick - a pocket chiptunes player using Ahle's SIDCog running on a Prop. Anyway - I got a copy of the magazine today and there it was! I don't read German, but I thought it was pretty cool - it's attached.

    Way cool, congrats!

However, per Google Translate, the article voices one negative aspect........

chiptunes way to listen to, also takes only the sound files on an MP3 player. But only with the "SidStick" authentic book can also be seen from there. The replica of the SID sound chip from the C64 is fed with SD cards, which produces the sound. device itself is $ 40 For a kit, can even build the allegedly Lotkolben-lay together. Unfortunately, the stick has no Hulle. When it rains, the device is so fast break than you can say, "pitsch slap".

I assume "hulle" means a case.

Any publicity is good publicity! Gotta love google translate... "fed with SD Cards".

I have been cooking up a second rev that fits in an altoids tin - maybe I should finish it up.

Even though the Swedish language is pretty close to the German language (they say), I can't understand more than like 10% of the words in that text.
I didn't understand, what did they say was the bad thing about the SIDstick?
Germany was(is?) the country with the most Commodore 64s per capita and I think Sweden or Finland was a close second.

They complained about the lack of a "hulle" (case?) makes it easy to kill in the rain.
