XBee like BT?

Can yhe XBee communicate like theBluetooth does? Is there any code that can run the BeBot from the computer and or a cell phone the way the BT does? Thanks for your help.

    You can communicate with xbee between the computer and the Boebot but not a phone unless it is zigbee enabled and I know of no phone that is.
