How long will these CCFL tubes last?· I have an application where they will be lit for about 4 hours a day (roughly 1500 hrs/year)

    Most laptops use CCFL backlights. If you have any long-term experience with a laptop, that should give you a baseline, at least, for their life expectancy.

    In the article I just read it sounds like it should last 25,000 hours, or in your case a little over 16 years, if something else doesn't break first.

    Thanks for the reference Pi Guy. I looks like I can use these and avoid having to change the existing bulbs every three years or so.
