Have you seen this switch?

The supplier ran out and I really don't want to redesign. I have looked everywhere with no luck. I am hoping one of you guys may have run across these somewhere.

I heard that it is often referred to as a pin switch, but not sure about that.

That looks like a plunger momentary switch. I figure you should be able to look around and find one. Not sure about the tab connection on the back though. Look for a plunger limit switch. If you don't find any, let me know....and I'll look with some of my past suppliers (Automation).

Looks very similar to the switch that was the 'lid closed' sensor on my old washing machine.

Perhaps contact your local white-goods repairer?

Or car automotive (kind of looks like an interior light switch from the doors).

As to where to get one locally to where you are...Sorry can't help there.

pacman hit the nail on the head ,, Todd did you find them?? if not try Lowes or home depo in the appliance electric row, I would also try a local hardware store , I have that exact same switch in my Sears dryer for when the door closes its an older machine but I bet I could get them from Sears if you are really stuck let me know and I will see if I can get one, I was in Lowes last summer and remember seeing them as well maybe a little smaller not sure but exact same thing.

OK that sounds good, thanks for those ideas. I will go down that path and see what happens. They were in abundance at allelectronics and I built them into a design, then somebody bought the lot. This switch will take a beating and is convenient for adjusting.

I don't know if this performs the same function, but the attachment below shows a switch I got from RadioShack a few years back. I't N.C., and the threaded portion is part of the circuit. If you can't find one at R.S., and if it fits your needs, email me your address, and I'll just send it to you. (I've got another, and I can't imagine how I'd use one, let alone two.)
