What is Parallax Serial Terminal ?

  Just another terminal program. It allows connections via serial port. So, when you want to connect the PC with the propeller for debugging or for easy keyboard input and text output you need this kind of program. Windows has a buildin terminal called HyperTerminal. Of course this also can be connected with the propeller using the USB-plug. But on my hardware it's causing a reset. And the PST works better when using the Propeller Tool, as it disconnects automatically when you switch back to the Propeller Tool. Reconecting is just a button-click.

  Is Depoe Bay now a city? One of the hardest small harbors on the Oregon Coast to run a fishing boat in or out. Very picturesque.
  I used to do carpentry for clients out at Salishan and pass by from Newport on a daily basis.

  Don't mean to hijack the thread but I used to live near Newport when I was a kid... actually "Agate Beach".· Was a blast, exploring the coves around the lighthouse.· OK, enough, back to topic.· When you download the Propeller tool, it should extract, and provide two icons on your desktop... one is, of course, the propeller tool and the other is the PST.· If you did not elect to put the icons on your desktop, just find the file in your programfiles/parrallax/propeller subdirectory (of course, yours may be different).·
