BX-24 is this a Parallax chip???

Hi guys I have a Robosapien that I wanted to upgrade the brains I found an ad for a BX-24 Basic Stamp is this in anyway related to Parallax basic stamps????

    Actually the chip you're talking about is the Basic-X. It is not a Stamp, but does use the familiar 24-pin form factor.

    Programming is more cumbersome because it uses a clunkier, more VB version of Basic. Did a couple projects with it but always came back to the Stamp.
