Basic Stamp to Propellor.

Is there a way to convert basic stamp code to propellor? One of our directors said it will be better to do basic stamp, then hardwire to propellor. Will that be a good way to do it?

    There is no automatic way to convert Basic Stamp code to Propeller code. There is an object in the Propeller Object Exchange called BS2 Compatibility Library which makes the process relatively easy. In some cases the Basic Stamp code can be directly converted, but the Stamp code may be very complex or awkward because of the limitations of the Stamp that are not present in the Propeller. Then it's better to write a new program for the Propeller. The answer to your question "Will that be a good way to do it?" is Maybe!

    Sound like a PBASIC -> SPIN converter would be very desirable. Bet you could do it faster than Hippy [noparse]:)[/noparse]
