SoundPal Magic and the Basic Stamp 1

Is there a way to run the SoundPal at a baudrate lower than 9600bps?
I'd like to run one with a BS1 at 2400bps.
I'm sure the BS1 was not excluded from use with this excellent product.

    Nope. 9600 baud is pretty much the low end.

    You could send the 2400bps to a BS2, and write code to relay that to the Soundpal at the 9600bps...Wait that's just dumb.

    I think that would be termed a BS2 coprocessor for the Stamp 1. With multiple 1's handling other functions, it would be practical if only one BS2 was used. Wiring could run along the stems and servo allocation would remain with the BS1's. Multiple SoundPals would circuit interface to the single BS2 although physically located elsewhere. The power requirement will be a consideration with more than one SoundPal per BS2.
