Did I burned the board? Or the Javelin? Or both?
Hi,
I just short-circuit a DS1630 with a 240V line and, of course, nothing is working anymore.
I'm not able to sent anything to the Javelin.
So I would like to found what's dead and need to be replaced. If it's the board, or the javelin. How can I check what's dead? I still have the green led working on the board.
I still have 5V between Vdd and Vss, so seems that the board is correct. Do I have a way to verify if the Javelin is dead and how?
Thanks,
JMS

You should have 5V between VSS and pin21 of the javelin.
If not, the voltage regulator on the javelin module is defect.
If you do have 5V but no communation at all (try Identify)
then the sx48 microcontroller on the javelin module is defect.

I have 0V between Vss and pin21 on the Javelin. Does it mean it's Javelin Stamp Demo board which is dead? Or only the Javelin voltage regulator? Also, do I have a way to replace it? Or it's not really possible and I'm better to change the Javelin?
Thanks,
JM
Chances are the sx48 and sram are damaged too.
I'd recommend replacing the javelin.

I just ordered a new one.
Is there some components I can put to protected the I/O pins? Like ULN but working both ways?

JM
which protect I/O pins against programming errors.
(in case you program a low output while the pin is
connected to Vdd, for example).

I received the new Javelin today, and it was it. But also all the DS1620, the DS1302 and the DC16. Bad. I will add those resistors to try to avoid same issues next time.
Can I also add 2 diodes, in opposite direction? Or it's not going to help at all?
Thanks,
JM
