Javelin Resetting - Weird Uart Data

I have a Javelin Interfaced with a 27937 USB Memory Stick ( fitted with a 1G Kingston USB drive) and the Parallax GPS Receiver module.

My code opens a file on teh USB stick and then writes the raw GPS data to it.

Every 5 minutes the Javelin Resets and the following data is recorded;

$GPGGA,031338,2731.6408,S,15255.1387,E,1,07,01.5,00047.8,M,039.4,M,,*55
$GPGSA,A,3,02,04,09,15,26,27,28,,,,,,02.0,01.5,01.3*06
$GPGSV,3,1,11,02,63,357,38,04,66,105,26,09,50,246,36,10,01

    Yes, the GPS module does have a Sony processor on board.· The Sony chip is CXD2951GA-4 chip set, receivers give the better Time-To-First-Fix(TTFF) for positioning. 12 parallel satellite-tracking channels for fast acquisitions and reacquistion.

    Thank's Dave.

    Again, I am monitoring the 5V line with a scope and am not catching any falling edges, so it's not a power spike or drop. So...any ideas why the Javelin and GPS would reset themselves at teh same time?

    It's hard to tell.· It sure seems to be related to a power issue.· What are you using for a power supply?

    Sorry Dave,

    I've been away.

    I have been using a 5w DC-DC converter being fed by a 9.6V nicad.

    I have just tried a brand new, never before touched by human hands 256Mb usb stick and it's working without resetting.......go figure.
