I needed to analyze the key codes sent from a Sony DVD remote and wrote the attached program (updated to 2.00.16) to help out. It will determine whether the code is 12-bit (TV) or 20-bit (DVD, other) and display it on a terminal.

I have really enjoyed Your SIRCS project. This bit tester program is icing on the cake!!!!!!
This is also great program help for another project that I'm working on that uses 24bit words.

That program got me out of jam yesterday. I designed an SX-based DVD controller for a friend and it turned out that his Sony remote sends different codes than mine! Luckily, I brought my project hardware from the January article, hooked it up with the 12- and 20-bit SIRCS analyzer program, and got his product working in the middle of a trade show without anyone noticing!

Like Clint Eastwood once said, " Improvise, Adapt, overcome ", You where successful in Your mission!. And thats what counts...
I'm like the young Grasshopper, When I can remove the SX/B from Your hand (and program it like You do) I will have learned.
