  nice mouser.com has a canadian division. now if only i can find a cheap pcb manufacturer in canada. shiping from us kills me.

  Perhaps those of us north of the border should get together and see if we can work something out to reduce our costs.

  I like mouser because they have a very nice search function that allows you to narrow in your parts quickly. There're also pretty fast when everything is in stock.

  I actually prefer digikey's parametric search function better than mouser's, but mouser typcally has cheaper prices and they don't have a under $20 purchase surcharge. Newark has a good selection on some specialty ICs (such as·single gate logic chips and FRAM). Frequently when I don't know what exact chip I want (I know the parameters, but not a manufacturer or part #), I use digikey to find the desired chip, then use www.findchips.com to locate which supplier has the best price.

  For a Canadian PCB fab, try www.apcircuits.com. They're located in Calgary. I used to use them all the time before switching to the more local (for me) Advanced Circuits in Colorado. For volume PCB production in Canada, I've had good luck with www.lazer-tech.com.

  Just checked out www.apcircuits.com They are very reasonable for small boards 8x1 only $34 each. Calgary is really convenient since I live here.
  
  In the past I have used 4pcb.com they are fast and great. Also offer $33 boards at fairly large size. The only down side is shipping to Canada comes to $50+tax and handling fees. If you use them tell them Matthew Cornelisse of Visible Photo referred you.

  Years ago I used APCircuits and found them very satisfactory. I still have their EasyTrax software installed from a decade or more ago.

  Anyone know of a noninverting 4x16 decoder? CD74HC154M is a great one with an inverted output but I need one that does not invert also
