Forum date problem

  It seems to be for anything done "today". "yesterday" and older seems to be okay.

  It's not just Parallax's forum. This error occurs in other dotNetBB forums using the same software version, e.g. forums.asna.com/forums/default.aspx, at the bottom. This will probably resolve itself by morning.

  Hi everyone,
  
  The forum software was written before the US Congress decided to change the dates on daylight savings time. I suspect that the forum software has the window for daylight savings time hard-coded. If we wait about three weeks, it would magically correct itself. I'll see what I can do to hurry that along.

  The dates listed on the NIST website are correct. If we go back two or three years, the dates for roll-forward or roll-back were in April and October. When Congress changed the dates, we had to patch all of our computers to ensure that they would have accurate clocks under these new rules.
  
  I do not believe that the forum software knows about the new Daylight savings rules. I corrected the timestamp by forcing the site to use Daylight Savings Time. If my hunch is correct, we should see the forum timestamp move off by an hour when the operating system shifts the clock back an hour on November 2nd.
  
  Let's see what happens.

  Many thanks Jim for the quick fix. And it reminds me I still have some software I never implemented the US DST change in !
