Why doesn't the search function work properly???

this is very irritating and unproductive:

i cannot seem to be able to search for two or more keywords (separating them with commas as instructed) - i've even tried to use two words that for sure can be found in several posts and yet it returns no hits.
seems like i can only search for one keyword or one phrase

I am not even talking about the search function defaulting to "last month's posts" and "all forums" scope (even though i click search while specifically in prop forum). IMO it should be defaulting to "since the beginning" and "prop forum"

sorry for the rant turn.gif

    thanks Whit

so according to the statements in the thread, a better search was promised back in 2006. Guess i am just spoiled by proper/convenient integrated searches that exist on pretty much all modern forums today

    Thanks for great support guys

that link to an automatic installer of the search plugin should really be made a sticky

EDIT: the only small inconvenience this method has is that some threads that it finds are viewed in decreasing date/time order and some in increasing (can temporarily screw one up), upon clicking on the hits that the search returns.
