I’m not selling it nor have I tried it yet, but looks like a dandy screen for a propeller project, I need to go get one before they are gone!

'Nice price, but the picture is likely to be underwhelming: it's non-TFT (so probably STN), and there's nothing mentioned about a backlight.

It looks like the same type I bought about a year ago. If it is its not too bad and it does have a backlight. Just be careful of the "high voltage" section on the board it will bite!

From the auction listing there is this link:

From a ‘quick read’ of that forum, they seem to be getting a decent review. From the pictures posted there, it looks like to me (anyway) that have a back light, and the controls for brightness and others are small pots.

Phil – I know what you mean by underwhelming, last year I bought several (5) Nintendo Game Cube displays. Some were great and others were horrible! But ya never know until you try!

    Well the displays arrived today.

Not as good as my Nintendo Game Cube displays, but they are 'useable'. They look better in 'graphics' mode than they do in 'text_mode'. Posted some pics. If I remember correctly I think I paid less for the Game cube displays. So not a 'big' bargain in my book!

And for comparison, the Game Cube Display, the picture is extremely clear in person! - My pics are kinda sub-par! ·tongue.gif

    <EDIT> Added·two more pictures

The brightness and contrast are better than I expected, given that they're not TFTs.

Mike, where did you get the Game Cube displays you refer to? Are they still available?

From eBay of course! Think it was this vendor:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/GC-Gamecube-Color-LCD-Screen-Portable-5-For-Nintendo-bk_W0QQitemZ180291960772QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item180291960772&_trkparms=72%3A1156%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I used some bid sniping software to grab about 5 of them over about 10 days or so. Notified the seller before I started bidding to see if that was OK with him if he would combine shipping to save on shipping costs. I'd have to look, but with shipping, I think they averaged about $27.00 each.

I'm not sure but these might also be had at places like "Game Stop's" retail stores or other places that sell used games and systems.

Yeah, they’d probably me more though. I set the item to watch on eBay and I will see what I can do. If they’re as nice as your post/pictures indicate, I have use for them. Thanks Mike.
