Storing a variable that will not get erased when the circuit has no power?
Does the SX/28 allow any memory space to store variables to and not reset if the power is disconnected? If so, how do I do it? If not, what should I get to be able to store 3 to 4 WORD variables so the chip can retrieve those even after all power has been disconnected?

This article shows how to connect to a more common I2C EEPROM:

Is I2C the best way to communicate between an SX and an EEPROM?· What else is there?

Just make sure you don't clear the memories at startup.
