Question about Max483 Chip

I am trying to put together a Multi LCD Display controller for a project I am working on.· In some cases the screens might be more then 100 feet away from the controller.· I planned on having a Max483 Chip for each Screen to allow for greater distance.·· The question I have is on the display end is there anyway I can tie the Max483 Chip directly to an LCD Screen without a Stamp Interpreter or do I need something between the two.

Power is not an issue for the circuit because I will have both local power and power coming from the controller for the screen and Chip.

You could do this with RS-232.
Each LCD should have its own power source (not·tied back·to one 100 feet away.)
