  Bob, if you have an SD card lying around, take a look at the kiosk.zip program in http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=643397
  
  You can even look at if if you don't, just dont click on any of the demos because it will freeze the Propeller if a SD card isn't attached.

  Does it have a interface with icons? also, Is that OS program a GUI program or a DOS-ish program in workings?

  No nothing that elaborate, what your asking for is a graphical OS. Mike's OS is text based.

  boeboy's GUI is a good start! Code is useful and readable.
