I personally do not have any experience with this, but I heard about US plastics (http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/category.asp?catalog_name=USPlastic&Category_Name=62&Page=1&clickid=topnav)

Check out "building materials" (http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=649025) there are a lot of suggestions for plastics and places to get them.

    Hope I helped.

McMaster-Carr carries a lot of different plastics in sheet, rod, and tube form. Unlike at some of the major plastics houses, you can order small pieces, too. Plus — at least to Washington State from their L.A. warehouse — they offer overnight shipping at ground rates. I regularly get G10 fiberglass sheets from them for routering prototype parts.

    Matt -

You can also check your local sign shops for scraps that they may be willing to part with at very reasonable prices. They generally just use larger pieces, and below a certain size it either sits around gathering dust or is sent to the dumpster.
