blush.gif·Recently bought 2 used High output yamaha cruiser waverunners. One will run upto 60mph. The second will not go over 40mph. My guess is the low rpm/security mode is locked. Any idea how to unlock? Of course the owner's manual wasn't given. I tried holding the unlock button for 20 seconds and the Lock LED came on and off but it didn't change the Horsepower any.

Please Help.confused.gif

    Try your local dealer, he runs into this all the time. And if its not the lock he can fix that too.

    Any suggestions that may help? The dealer is a 6 hour trip.

    Hello,

    As these forums are for support of Parallax Inc. products it is unlikely that anyone will have the information you need. I would suggest calling the dealer or looking for a wave-runner forum. Someone on there may be able to help you. It could just be the second unit needs a tune-up. But we’d have no information on this. Take care.
