Colors, tiles and palette

Hello,
Somebody made a well documented example code on how to select the palettes and colors, but I can't seem to find it with the search. Does anybody know where it is? I don't quite understand how to program the colors matrix and/or define the palette. Could somebody give me the format please?
Is it just me, or the search of the board is not giving too much output even if we allow it to go over the whole time span?

with the http://search.parallax.com engine (different than the one you get when clicking the search button), it is only a matter of remembering the proper keywords. In this instance "palette" returned this thread as the first result.
