Basic Stamp VS SX chip

I'm currently taking a class for the Basic stamp as an intro to microcontrollers.· After looking at the info from the SX chip it appears to me that with the compiler you can do exactly the same thing with very similar commands.· Most of the commands I've been using with the Basic Stamp is on the compiler.· Am I off on this?

    You can do most of the things; not all BS2-family features are supported (directly, you can certainly code anything), and sometimes not as convenient in SX/B as they are in PBASIC. That said, you get the raw power of the SX and with that a whole world of possibilities is open to you.
