Converting an SX-Key to a PS/2 connector

Is there any reason that can't make an adapter for my sx key to use a ps/2 port. It seems pretty straight foward?

    I don't think so -- not without some "smarts" as PS/2 ports are synchronous and the SX-Key uses asynchronous serial.

    Serial to usb adapters work ok?

    Yes, I frequently program SX chips using an SX-Key plugged into the Parallax USB-232 adapter.
