Yep... I acutally ordered some free samples of the opto-isolater from National and just received them yesterday!

I have downloaded most (if not all) of the freeware O-scopes and found that
http://www.zeitnitz.de/Christian/Scope/Scope_en.html
seems to be the best!

The first posting in the thread provides the schematic for the probe...
Easy to get free samples... many manufacturers offer them...
For this one, I just googled 4N35, which returned

as the first result... you can request a free sample from that page...
