  Yep... I acutally ordered some free samples of the opto-isolater from National and just received them yesterday!

  I have downloaded most (if not all) of the freeware O-scopes and found that http://www.zeitnitz.de/Christian/Scope/Scope_en.html seems to be the best!

  Easy to get free samples... many manufacturers offer them...
  
  For this one, I just googled 4N35, which returned http://www.fairchildsemi.com/pf/4N/4N35.html·as the first result... you can request a free sample from that page...

  have you tried using the "google search tool" that is on the Parallax home page (top left)...
