Overactive expletive filter

I tried posting a message that used the words "a$$sume", and "ma$$" (but with "s" in place of "$"). What I got when reviewing my post was "(expletive)ume" and "m(expletive)".

Good grief! I (expletive)ume this (expletive)iduous p(expletive)ion for lexical hygiene will p(expletive) and that the requisite adjustments can be made.

    Phil -

Welcome to the club. It just got spanked for pa$$ <sigh>. It looks like we may have to use p-donkey, donkey-sume etc, instead smile.gif

This is especially fun for a former English major!

My appologies to all affected by our aggressive word filter. I'll be more careful next time.

On the other hand, I caught my typo of "shifts" without the "f".

I also found that the original text was inteact, just displayed in the PC manner.

Given that we have users of all ages, and that this potentially expanded in the downward direction with the leveraged takeover of the Scribbler forums by the Robotics forum, some type of filter may be in order. (I donkey-ume that this takeover bid didn't have to resort to a proxy battle.)
